Thanks for reading, Anson S!
1861 Springfield Rifle-Musket
Looks like we already have an article on the subject! This Table of Civil War Era Small Arms has a list of small arms; the red-links need new pages. Bmac48 15:28, 21 April 2011 (EDT)
- Yeah, so sorry about that! Go ahead and delete it and have it redirect to the real one. Thanks! Anson S 15:31, 21 April 2011 (EDT)
- You're fine. I think lots of people in any wiki came up with similar "oops". :) Bmac48 15:32, 21 April 2011 (EDT)
Double-check that table in case of duplicates. I think your Lorenz may fit in. Bmac48 15:39, 21 April 2011 (EDT)
- No other Lorenz. I can't find the total manufactured, so I just put in the total that both US and CS together imported. Anson S 15:50, 21 April 2011 (EDT)
Samuel Mathews
I stated several times in the CivilWarTalk forum that one of the goals of this website is to have a good, working biography on each and every soldier who fought in the war. Having seen the bio on Sam Mathews from your blog, is it possible to upload it here? Bmac48 16:21, 21 April 2011 (EDT)
- Sure, what category should I put it in? Anson S 16:23, 21 April 2011 (EDT)
- Since there's going to be a lot of bios, I think it would be best that as an individual soldier, the categories should be restricted to his unit, i.e. 3rd Michigan Infantry. Bmac48 16:28, 21 April 2011 (EDT)
If you look at various articles already created on people, you'll see how an infobox is structured. I already started on Sam Matthews, but much needs to be added. Bmac48 16:30, 21 April 2011 (EDT)
This is another Samuel here [1] to give you an idea. Bmac48 16:32, 21 April 2011 (EDT)
