Images
In case you didn't know, this is the site's rules for images: [1]. In an effort to preserve Civil War history, as well as to be set apart from Wikipedia, we've adopted a stance which is reflected in the change in images in the Alexander Stephans article. Basically what has to happen is this:
- All images must be properly sourced and tagged. Saying "public domain" isn't good enough; you have to state who created the image, the date created, when it was created, where it was sourced, and so on.
- Whenever possible, all photographs cannot be retouched. If the original is a broken piece of glass, we use the original.
- If an image is retrieved from Wikimedia Commons, we have to go into the source used by Wikimedia Commons.
What you do when you create an article is take your time. A few extra minutes spent looking for the best image possible simply means a better article. I like what you've done already for the Stephans article. Bmac48 13:55, 23 December 2011 (EST)
- OK, thanks! I'll make sure to do so in the future.--Colonel Sanders 14:49, 23 December 2011 (EST)
